Day 1 – Arrival at Trichy(No meal)
Arrive at Trichy by flight and transfer to your hotel. Later, visit the Tropical Butterfly Conservatory (15 km / 30 mins) – the largest of its kind in Asia, home to over 100 species of butterflies amidst lush greenery. In the evening, take a peaceful walk along the Srirangam riverbank, where you can enjoy a calm sunset by the Cauvery River. Overnight stay in Trichy. (Sightseeing approx. 1–2 hrs + leisure time)
Day 2 – Trichy ➝ Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary (260 km / 6 hrs drive)(B)
After breakfast, begin a scenic drive through the Western Ghats from Trichy to Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary, covering about 260 km in 6 hours. On arrival, proceed for an afternoon jungle safari inside Mudumalai, where you can spot elephants, spotted deer, gaur, peacocks, and, with luck, even the elusive tiger or leopard. In the evening, unwind at your jungle lodge with a campfire experience under the starlit sky. Overnight stay near Mudumalai.
Day 3 – Mudumalai ➝ Ooty ➝ Chennai(B)
After breakfast, drive from Mudumalai to Ooty (40 km / 1.5 hrs) through winding forest roads and misty hills. Visit the famous Ooty Botanical Garden, spread across 55 acres, showcasing rare plants and landscaped gardens. Continue to the colorful Ooty Rose Garden, home to more than 20,000 varieties of roses. By afternoon, enjoy optional boating at Ooty Lake, surrounded by eucalyptus trees and serene hills. In the evening, transfer to Chennai either by overnight train (approx. 9–10 hrs) or by flight via Coimbatore Airport (85 km / 3 hrs drive from Ooty + 1 hr flight to Chennai). Overnight journey to Chennai.
Day 4 – Chennai Eco-Parks(B)
Arrive in Chennai in the morning and proceed to visit Adyar Poonga Eco-Park (8 km / 30 mins), a restored wetland ecosystem filled with mangroves, birds, and walking trails – perfect for nature enthusiasts. Later, explore Guindy National Park, India’s only national park located within a city, along with the adjoining Snake Park, which houses reptiles, cobras, vipers, and pythons. In the evening, you will be dropped off at Chennai Airport for your onward journey.
