Begin your Bhutan honeymoon journey with a scenic private transfer to Thimphu, the charming capital city of Bhutan. The drive takes you through beautiful Himalayan landscapes and valleys. DAY 2: Thimphu Sightseeing | Breakfast & Dinner.
After Breakfast, enjoy a full-day private sightseeing tour of Thimphu. Visit Tashichho Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most impressive architectural landmarks, known for its traditional Bhutanese design and golden roofs. Continue to Memorial Chorten, an important Buddhist monument built in memory of Bhutan’s third king. Visit Durga/Shiv Temple, followed by Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang), where you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views over Thimphu Valley. Continue to Coronation Park and the Takin Zoo, home to Bhutan’s unique national animal, the takin. Later, experience Bhutanese culture at Simply Bhutan, a traditional cultural experience center (closed on Tuesdays). DAY 3: Thimphu – Punakha Excursion75–90 Kms | Approx. 3 Hrs | Breakfast & Dinner
After Breakfast, check out and drive towards Punakha, one of Bhutan’s most scenic valleys. En route, stop at Semtokha Dzong, Bhutan's oldest dzong. Continue to Dochula Pass, located at approximately 3,100 meters above sea level. The pass is famous for its 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens and spectacular views of the Himalayan mountain ranges on clear days. This is an excellent location for romantic couple photographs against the Himalayan backdrop. Continue to Chhimi Lhakhang, also known as the Fertility Temple. The temple is traditionally associated with blessings for fertility and family life and is a popular stop for couples visiting Bhutan. On arrival in Punakha, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, dramatically situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Walk together across the colorful Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of Bhutan’s most famous attractions. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful riverside walk along the Mo Chhu River before dinner. After Breakfast, check out and drive back towards Paro, enjoying the beautiful Himalayan scenery along the way. Upon arrival in Paro, explore some of the valley’s most important cultural landmarks. Visit Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong), an impressive fortress-monastery dating back to the 17th century. Continue to Ta Dzong, home to Bhutan’s National Museum, and visit Kichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples. Time permitting, enjoy a visit to a Tiger’s Nest viewpoint for a scenic view of the famous Taktsang Monastery. Check into your hotel and prepare for a romantic evening.
