10 Days 9 Nights Nepal Bhutan Tour Package

 

Day 01: Arrival  
Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to the hotel. After checking in, they will briefly overview the upcoming program.  
Overnight in Kathmandu.

 

Day 02: Arrive Paro & Paro-Thimphu (Distance: 54 km, estimated driving time: 1 hr)  
Fly into Paro with Druk Air / Bhutan Airlines. After completing immigration formalities, our representative will be your tour guide for the journey. Next, we will drive to Thimphu. After checking into your hotel, you will visit:  
- Kuensel Phodrang: Home to the tallest Buddha statue with stunning views of Thimphu Valley.  
- Craft Bazaar: A place to immerse oneself in Bhutanese culture and shop for local art and crafts.  
Institute for Zorig Chusum: This is an arts and crafts School where students learn the traditional arts of Bhutan.  
Textile Museum: Explore a collection of antique textiles. This museum aims to preserve and promote Bhutan's weaving tradition.  - Weekend Market: If it’s the weekend, mingle with locals at this vibrant market by the river.  
- National Sport of Bhutan (Archery): Watch traditional and modern archery tournaments.  
Overnight in Thimphu.  
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

 

Day 03: Thimphu-Punakha (Distance: 71 km, estimated driving time: 2 ½ hours)  
After breakfast, travel to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3140 m). Enjoy spectacular views of the Himalayas and visit the 108 chortens constructed by the Queen Mother for the King's welfare. Stop by Druk Wangyal Lhakhang, known for its beautiful murals. Upon arrival in Punakha, visit:  
- Chhimi Lhakhang: Known for its fertility shrine.  
- Punakha Dzong: A historic site built in 1637, remarkable for its architecture.  
- Suspension Bridge: A delightful walk across the bridge offers refreshing breezes and great views.  
Overnight in Punakha.  
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

 

Day 04: Punakha-Paro (Distance: 135 km, estimated driving time: 4 hr)  
After breakfast, journey back to Paro with stops, including:  
- Tamchog Lhakhang Bridge: Cross an iron chain suspension bridge to reach a Lhakhang built in the 13th century.  
- Paro Airport: Enjoy views of this unique airport, which is described as both dangerous and beautiful.   
- National Museum: Discover Bhutanese culture through artifacts in the Ta Dzong.  
- Take an evening stroll in Paro town to visit local handicraft stores.  
Overnight in Paro.  
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

 

Day 05: Hike to Taktsang Gompa (Tiger’s Nest Monastery)  
Begin your day with a hike to the renowned Tiger's Nest Monastery. The hike to the viewpoint takes about 1 – 1 ½ hrs, followed by an hour to reach the monastery. Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche meditated here in the 8th century. After exploring, return downhill for lunch at the viewpoint cafeteria, and then visit Drukgyel Dzong, a historic fortress known for its defensive purpose. Restoration of the Dzong started in 2016, commemorating significant events in Bhutan's history.  
Overnight in Paro.  
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

 

Day 06: Fly to Kathmandu  
After breakfast, you will depart for Paro airport. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, your guide will take you to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur Durbar Square, where you can enjoy scenic views of sunrise and sunset.  
Overnight in Nagarkot.  
Meal: Breakfast.

 

Day 07: Fly to Pokhara and City Tour  
Fly to Pokhara, a city rich with natural beauty. The day includes visiting:  
- Devi’s Falls: A stunning waterfall setting.  
- Gupteswor Cave: A sacred site with fascinating formations.  
- International Mountain Museum: Learn about mountaineering history.  
- Fewa Lake: Enjoy a serene boating experience surrounded by the Annapurna Range.

 

Day 08: Hike to Sarangkot  
Embark on a hike to Sarangkot for breathtaking sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The hike offers both a challenge and rewarding landscapes before returning to Pokhara.

 

Day 09: Fly to Kathmandu and City Tour  
After breakfast, fly back to Kathmandu. Your city tour includes visits to Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa.  
Overnight in Kathmandu.  
Meal: Breakfast.

 

Day 10: Departure  
After breakfast, you will be driven to the airport for your departure according to your flight schedule.  
Meal: Breakfast.
