After a satisfying darshan and some time to take in the views, you will check out and begin your journey to Palani. Day 3: Ascending the Sacred Hill of Palani Duration: ~4 to 5 hours for temple activities(B)
This day is dedicated to the divine experience at the Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple. After an early morning breakfast, you will make your way to the hill. You can either take the winch or rope car (a 5-minute ride) or choose the traditional path by climbing the approximately 690 steps. Once at the summit, you will spend a significant part of the day offering your prayers and witnessing the various poojas. The highlight will be the special darshan that deepens your spiritual connection. In the evening, you can perform Girivalam, the circumambulation of Palani hill, believed to bring immense blessings. After an early breakfast, you will check out from your hotel in Palani and begin your journey to Thiruchendur, passing through the scenic heart of Tamil Nadu. Upon arrival in Thiruchendur, you will check into your hotel. The evening is dedicated to your first spiritual experience at the Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Temple, located on the shores of the Bay of Bengal. Following this, you will visit the sacred Naali Kinaru, a freshwater well located just 50 meters from the seashore, where pilgrims cleanse themselves. The afternoon is free for you to relax on the beach or sit in quiet contemplation.
