Day 1 – Arrival in Trichy and Local Sightseeing (No Meal)
Stay in Trichy. After you arrive at Trichy Airport, check into your hotel and begin your temple journey. Visit the Srirangam Ranganathaswamy Temple, one of the most revered Vishnu temples in India. Then, proceed to the Samayapuram Mariamman Temple, followed by a visit to the famous Ucchi Pillayar Temple, located atop the Rock Fort, for a panoramic city view and spiritual blessings. Overnight stay in Trichy.
Day 2: Trichy – Thanjavur Sightseeing (60 km / 1.5 hrs total) (B)
Thanjavur After breakfast, explore the majestic Brihadeeswarar Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its grand architecture. Visit the Thanjavur Maratha Palace complex, which houses the Saraswathi Mahal Library, Royal Museum, and Art Gallery. Admire traditional Tanjore paintings at local craft centers, and if time permits, stroll through the vibrant local markets to find handicrafts and souvenirs. Overnight stay in Thanjavur.
Day 3: Thanjavur – Swamimalai – Palani (205 km / 7 hrs total) (B)
Stay Palani. After breakfast, depart from Thanjavur in the morning and visit the Swamimalai Murugan Temple, one of the six sacred Arupadai Veedu. Continue your journey to Palani to visit the famous Palani Murugan Temple, followed by an overnight stay in Palani.
Day 4: Palani – Madurai (120 km / 3.5 hrs total) (B)
Stay Madurai. After breakfast, visit the sacred Palani Murugan Temple, situated on a hill. Then, travel to Madurai (approximately 120 km, 3 hours) and visit prominent Murugan temples, such as Thiruparankundram, another one of the Arupadai Veedu. Overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 5: Madurai – Tiruchendur Murugan – Rameswaram (405 km / 9 hrs total) (B)
Rameswaram After breakfast, depart from Madurai early in the morning and visit the coastal Tiruchendur Murugan Temple. Afterward, continue your journey to Rameswaram for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Rameswaram – Thiruvannamalai (430 km / 9 hrs total) (B)
Thiruvannamalai After breakfast, depart early from Rameswaram and travel to Thiruvannamalai, passing through Virudhachalam. The journey takes around 9 to 10 hours by road, followed by an overnight stay in Thiruvannamalai.
Day 7: Thiruvannamalai – Thiruthani – Chennai (270 km / 7 hrs total) (B)
After breakfast, visit the Arunachaleswarar Temple in Thiruvannamalai, then drive to the Thiruthani Murugan Temple, one of the Arupadai Veedu temples. Proceed to Chennai for an overnight stay.
Day 8: Chennai Sightseeing & Departure (B)
After breakfast, if time permits, explore key attractions in Chennai, such as Marina Beach, Kapaleeshwarar Temple, San Thome Church, and Fort St. George. After sightseeing, proceed to the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your spiritual tour.
