Day 1 – Arrival at Cochin (Kochi)(No meal)Upon arrival at Cochin International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. After freshening up, begin exploring the heritage quarters of Fort Kochi, where you can witness the famous Chinese Fishing Nets, stroll past colonial-era churches, and visit the historic Mattancherry Palace and Jew Town with its spice-scented streets and antique shops. In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance such as a colorful Kathakali dance drama or the traditional martial art show of Kalaripayattu. Overnight stay in Cochin.
Day 2 – Cochin → Munnar (4–5 hrs drive / 125 km)(B)
After breakfast, set out on a scenic drive to Munnar, the jewel of Kerala’s hill stations, nestled amidst endless stretches of tea gardens and misty valleys. En route, pause at cascading waterfalls and spice plantations that dot the winding roads. On arrival in Munnar, check into your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, soaking in the cool and refreshing mountain air. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Day 3 – Full Day Munnar Sightseeing (50 km / 3–4 hrs local drive)(B)
Today, after breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Munnar. Begin with a visit to Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and rolling tea-clad hills. Continue to the Tea Museum, which tells the story of Munnar’s plantation history. Later, visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Lake, each offering unique charm and stunning scenery. If you wish, you may also take an adventurous jeep safari to Kolukkumalai, the world's highest tea plantation, for panoramic sunrise or sunset views. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Day 4 – Munnar → Thekkady (3.5 hrs drive / 110 km)(b)
After breakfast, drive through winding mountain roads surrounded by spice-scented cardamom hills and dense forests, arriving at Thekkady, the gateway to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Visit a fragrant spice plantation to learn about cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and clove cultivation. In the evening, enjoy a serene boat ride on Periyar Lake to spot wildlife along the shores, or choose a cultural evening featuring a martial art (Kalari) performance. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Day 5 – Thekkady → Alleppey Houseboat (4 hrs drive / 140 km)(b)
Today, proceed to Alleppey, also known as the “Venice of the East.” On arrival, board your private traditional Kerala houseboat and set out on a mesmerizing backwater cruise through narrow canals, lush green paddy fields, coconut palms, and lively village life along the serene Vembanad Lake. Relish freshly prepared Kerala meals on board as you drift along, and witness a magical sunset over the waters. Overnight stay on a houseboat.
Day 6 – Alleppey → Madurai (5–6 hrs drive / 280 km)(b)
After breakfast on the houseboat, check out and continue your journey to Madurai in Tamil Nadu, one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening, visit the iconic Meenakshi Amman Temple, an architectural masterpiece alive with devotion, lights, and chants, creating an unforgettable spiritual atmosphere. Overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 7 – Madurai → Rameswaram (3.5 hrs drive / 170 km)(b)
This morning, visit the Thirumalai Nayak Palace, a splendid 17th-century Indo-Saracenic monument, before driving through scenic coastal roads to reach Rameswaram, a sacred island town connected by the majestic Pamban Bridge. In the evening, visit the famous Ramanathaswamy Temple, renowned for its long pillared corridors and holy Jyotirlinga. Conclude your day at Dhanushkodi Beach or Pamban Bridge for a spectacular sunset. Overnight stay in Rameswaram.
Day 8 – Rameswaram → Trichy (5.5 hrs drive / 250 km)(b)
After breakfast, you may choose an optional ritual bath at the 22 holy wells of Rameswaram for a unique traditional experience. Later, continue to Trichy. Upon arrival, visit the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangam, one of the largest temple complexes in India, followed by a climb up Rockfort Temple to enjoy panoramic views of the city and the Cauvery River. Overnight stay in Trichy.
Day 9 – Trichy → Mahabalipuram via Kanchipuram (6–7 hrs drive / 320 km)(b)
After breakfast, begin your drive towards Mahabalipuram, stopping en route at Kanchipuram, one of India’s seven sacred cities. Here, you may briefly visit the Ekambareswarar Temple or the Kamakshi Amman Temple and browse through the famous silk-weaving centers of the town. Continue on to Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its rock-cut wonders. Explore the Shore Temple, the monolithic Five Rathas, and Arjuna’s Penance before unwinding by the seashore in the evening. Overnight stay in Mahabalipuram. Day 10 – Mahabalipuram → Chennai (1.5 hrs drive / 60 km) & Departure Spend a relaxed morning enjoying the beachside charm of Mahabalipuram before proceeding to Chennai. Depending on your flight schedule, you may visit Marina Beach, the Kapaleeshwarar Temple, or indulge in shopping at T. Nagar or Phoenix Mall before being transferred to the airport for your onward journey, carrying beautiful memories of Kerala’s backwaters and Tamil Nadu’s rich heritage
