Day 1: Arrival at Chennai – Half-Day Local Sightseeing (No Meals)
Upon your arrival at Chennai Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After a short refresh, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of the city, where you can visit the historic Kapaleeshwarar Temple, the beautiful Santhome Church, and enjoy an evening stroll at the world-famous Marina Beach, one of the longest beaches in Asia. Later, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Chennai. (Local travel within the city – approx. 40–50 km / 3 hrs by car)
Day 2: Chennai → Pondicherry (160 km / 3.5 hrs) (B)
After breakfast, drive along the scenic East Coast Road, which offers breathtaking views of the Bay of Bengal, en route to Pondicherry. On arrival, check in to your hotel and later explore this charming French-influenced coastal town. Visit the Aurobindo Ashram, a spiritual community that attracts thousands of visitors annually, and then proceed to the experimental township of Auroville, renowned for its distinctive architecture and spiritual significance. In the evening, stroll through the beautiful French Colony streets, enjoy coffee at quaint cafés, and relax at Promenade Beach. Overnight stay in Pondicherry.
Day 3: Pondicherry → Tanjavur (170 km / 4 hrs) (B)
After breakfast, proceed to Tanjavur, also known as the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and later explore the grandeur of the Brihadeeswarar Temple (also known as the Big Temple), a UNESCO World Heritage site and a fine example of Chola architecture. You can also visit the Royal Palace, Saraswathi Mahal Library, and Art Gallery, which showcase the rich heritage of the region. In the evening, enjoy a relaxed time in the temple town before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay in Tanjavur.
Day 4: Tanjavur → Trichy (60 km / 1.5 hrs) → Chennai (270 km / 4.5 hrs) (B)
After an early breakfast, take a short drive to Trichy (Tiruchirapalli), a historic city famous for its ancient temples and cultural significance. Here, you can visit the grand Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangam, one of the largest functioning Hindu temples in the world, and explore the iconic Rock Fort Temple, situated on a hill that offers panoramic views of the city. After completing your sightseeing in Trichy, continue your journey towards Chennai via the national highway, which takes around 4.5 hours. On arrival, check into your hotel and spend the evening enjoying shopping at T. Nagar or dining at one of Chennai’s popular restaurants. Overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 5: Chennai – Departure (B)
After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time for quick shopping or a short sightseeing trip, depending on your flight schedule. Later, you will be dropped off at Chennai Airport for your onward journey, with fond memories .
