8 Days 7 Nights Hemkund & Valley of Flowers tour package
Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar (230 kms/6-7hrs)
Arrive at Delhi Airport or Delhi Railway Station. Meet and assist, and then drive to Haridwar. Transfer to your hotel. If time permits, visit Bharat Mata Mandir, Bhuma Niketan, India Temple, Pawan Dham, Doodhadhari Temple, and others. Later, head to Har-ki-Pauri for the Ganga Aarti, a moving ritual in which lamps are floated on the river after sunset. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Haridwar, located at the feet of the Shivaliks, holds great significance in Hindu mythology. It’s the site where Prince Bhagirath performed penance to bring the river Ganga to Earth for the salvation of his ancestors. The place is revered by devout Hindus who come here to pray for their departed elders.
Day 02: Haridwar - Joshimath (276kms/8-9hrs)
Drive to Joshimath, making stops at Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karanprayag, and Nandprayag (the four Prayags). Upon arrival in Joshimath, check in at your hotel. Visit Narsingh Temple and Shankracharaya Math before an overnight stay.
Joshimath is significant as it marks the confluence of Alaknanda and Dhauliganga and is one of the four maths established by Adi Shankaracharya.
Day 03: Joshimath – Govind Ghat (20kms drive) – Pulna (3kms drive local jeep) - Ghangaria (10kms/4hr Trek)
After breakfast, drive to Govindghat, then take a local jeep to Pulna Village. From Pulna, trek to Ghangaria, a picturesque 10 km journey through beautiful mountains and rivers. Check in at your hotel in Ghangaria for an overnight stay.
Ghangaria serves as the base for visiting Hemkund Sahib and is surrounded by serene nature.
Day 04: Ghangaria - Hemkund Sahib - Ghangaria (6kms/4hr each side)
Today, trek to Gurdwara Sri Hemkund Sahib, an important Sikh pilgrimage site where Guru Gobind Singh meditated. This trek, set against a stunning backdrop of peaks and pastures, culminates at a height of over 4,239 m. Return to Ghangaria for the night.
Day 05: Ghangaria - Valley of Flowers - Ghangaria (4kms/3hr each side)
Post breakfast, embark on a trek to the Valley of Flowers, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning flora and fauna. Explore the valley and enjoy the natural beauty. Return to Ghangaria for an overnight stay.
Day 06: Ghangaria - Govindghat (10kms trek down & 3kms by Jeep) – Rudraprayag (140kms/5-6hr drive)
Trek back down to Govindghat, then drive to Rudraprayag. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Rudraprayag, one of the Panch Prayag of the Alaknanda River, is a significant religious site. The weather changes considerably here between seasons.
Day 07: Rudraprayag – Rishikesh (140kms/4hr)
Drive to Rishikesh, a celebrated spiritual town along the Ganges, surrounded by the Himalayas. Check in at your hotel, then visit local temples and sites, including Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, and Shivananda Ashram. In the evening, experience the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Ashram. Overnight stay.
Day 08: Rishikesh - Hardwar - Delhi (250kms/7hr)
Drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival, transfer to the Railway Station or Airport. Tour ends.
