5 Days 4 Nights Kedharnath Yatra (Kedarnath by Helicopter)
Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar (230 kms/6-7hrs) HT: 314 MTS
Upon arrival at Delhi Airport or Delhi Railway Station, you'll meet your guide and proceed with a drive to Haridwar. After checking into your hotel, time permitting, you'll visit the Mansadevi Temple, Chandidevi Temple, and Daksha Mahadev Temple. In the evening, experience the Ganga Aarti at Har-ki-Pauri. This beautiful ritual involves worshiping the Ganga after sunset and releasing floating lamps. Afterward, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Haridwar, located at the foothills of the Shivalik hills in Uttaranchal Pradesh, is more than just a city; it’s a spiritual doorway. With historical significance dating back to the legend of the Suryavanshi prince Bhagirath, who performed penance to bring the river Ganga to Earth for his ancestors' salvation, it holds immense cultural value. Here, devoted Hindus bathe in the sacred waters, seeking blessings for their departed relatives. The river Ganga flows from the snowy ranges of the central Himalayas, making this site even more enchanting.
Weather: Summers can be quite hot, with temperatures ranging from 35-40 degrees Celsius. Winters are pleasantly cool during the day but can be cold at night, dropping between 20 to 5 degrees Celsius.
Day 02: Haridwar - Guptkashi (210kms/7-8hr) HT: 1319 MTS.
After breakfast, you'll drive directly to Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and in the evening, visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple. Overnight accommodation will be at the hotel.
Guptkashi, meaning "Hidden Benares," is steeped in mythological tales. It is believed that Lord Shiva concealed himself here to evade the Pandava brothers during their quest to seek his blessings. The region has ties to the Kedarnath temple, as the Pandas (pilgrimage priests) reside here in winter when the Kedarnath temple closes.
Weather: Generally pleasant in summer, with temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius. Winters are cold.
Day 03: Guptkashi – Phata Helipad (10kms) - Kedarnath – Phata (By Helicopter) – Guptkashi
In the morning, head to Phata helipad for a helicopter ride to Kedarnath. Visit the Kedarnath Temple, where everyone is welcome to enter the Garbha Griha and pay homage to the deity. After your visit, return to Phata and then back to Guptkashi for a day of leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Kedarnath is one of the twelve jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, nestled amidst the breathtaking Kedarnath range. The legend states that after the Kurukshetra war, the Pandavas sought Lord Shiva for redemption. He evaded them and took refuge in Kedarnath in the form of a bull. Upon their pursuit, he dove into the earth, leaving his hump above ground, with his divine forms manifesting at other temples in the region, collectively known as Panch Kedar.
Day 04: Guptkashi - Rishikesh (200kms/7-8hr)
Continue your journey to Rishikesh, known as the 'place of sages,' a spiritually vibrant town on the banks of the Ganga, surrounded by the Himalayas. Check into your hotel and proceed to visit local temples and sites, including Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, and Shivananda Ashram. In the evening, join the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Ashram. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.
Day 05: Rishikesh - Hardwar - Delhi (250kms/7-8hr)
On your final day, drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the railway station or the airport, concluding your memorable tour.
