4 Days 3 Nights Kedharnath Yatra Tour Package

Day 01: Haridwar - Guptkashi (210kms/7-8hr) HT: 1319 MTS.
Pickup from Haridwar/Dehradun Airport and drive straight to Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. In the evening, visit the Ardhnarishwar Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.  The name Gupt Kashi means "Hidden Benares." According to mythology, when the Pandava brothers were seeking Shiva, he first hid in Gupt Kashi before fleeing to Kedarnath, where their wishes were finally fulfilled. Additionally, during the winter, the priests of Kedarnath reside in Gupt Kashi, and the idol of Kedarnath is transported through Gupt Kashi to Ukhimath for the winter months. The weather here is typically pleasant in summer, ranging between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius, while in winter, it can get quite cold.

Day 02: Guptkashi - Kedarnath (30kms by road & 19kms Trek)
Early morning drive to Sitapur/Sonprayag, then transfer to Gaurikund by local jeep (own expense). Trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (3584 mts) using ponies or a doli. Tour members need to carry personal medicines, warm clothing, toiletries, and overnight essentials for Kedarnath. Visit the Kedarnath Temple and stay overnight.  Kedarnath is one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, set against the beautiful Kedarnath range. According to legend, the Pandavas, feeling guilty after the Kurukshetra war, sought Shiva’s blessings for redemption. He eluded them and took refuge as a bull in Kedarnath. Upon being pursued, he dove underground, leaving his hump above ground. Other manifestations of Shiva’s form are worshipped at Tungnath, Rudranath, Madhmaheshwar, and Kalpeshwar, collectively known as the Panch Kedar shrines.

Day 03: Kedarnath – Guptkashi (19Kms Down Trek & 30kms/1hr by Road)
Wake early and attend the temple by 4:45 am for the ‘Abhishek’ ceremony for Kedarnath Shiva. Visitors can enter the Garbha Griha and touch the idol. After the temple darshan, trek down to Gaurikund and return to Sonprayag (by local jeep - own expense). Continue your drive back to Guptkashi and check into the hotel for the night.

Day 04: Guptkashi – Rishikesh - Haridwar (8 hr)
Drive to Rishikesh, known as the ‘place of sages,’ a spiritual town on the Ganga's banks and surrounded by the Shivalik range. The area acquired the name Rishikesh due to the penance performed by Raibhya Rishi. Visit Rishikesh’s temples and sightseeing spots, including Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, and Shivananda Ashram. Finally, transfer to Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport. Tour concludes.
