4 Days 3 Nights Madurai – Rameshwaram – Thanjavur – Trichy
 
ITINERARY
 
Day 1: Travel to Madurai & Sightseeing
Depart from Chennai and drive to Madurai, one of the oldest cities in South India. Visit the famous Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, an architectural marvel dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi. Explore the majestic Thirumalai Nayak Mahal and the sacred Koodal Alagar Temple.
Overnight stay in Madurai.
 
Day 2: Travel to Rameshwaram & Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed to Rameshwaram, a significant pilgrimage destination. Visit Agniteertham, where devotees take a holy dip, and explore the sacred Ramanatha Swamy Temple, known for its long corridors and carved pillars. Continue to Dhanushkodi, the “Ghost Town”, offering a view of the sea where the Bay of Bengal meets the Indian Ocean.
Overnight stay in Rameshwaram.
 
Day 3: Travel to Thanjavur & Sightseeing
Drive to Thanjavur, the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu. Discover the rich heritage at Thanjavur Art Gallery, Thanjavur Palace, and the grand Brihadeeswarar Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. End the day with a visit to Thiruvaiyaru, famous for its musical and spiritual significance.

Day 4: Trichy Sightseeing & Return to Chennai
After breakfast, proceed to Tiruchirappalli and visit the historic Rock Fort Temple and Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam, one of the largest functioning temple complexes in the world.
Later, travel back to Chennai, marking the end of your memorable Tamil Nadu journey.
