Day 1: Arrive Chennai – Sightseeing (No meal)
Arrive at Chennai Airport and check into your hotel. Begin your city tour by visiting the ancient Kapaleeshwarar Temple in Mylapore and the iconic San Thome Basilica nearby. Continue to the historic Fort St. George or the Government Museum, depending on time. In the evening, take a relaxing walk along Marina Beach. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 2: Chennai – Mahabalipuram (60 km / 1.5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive along the scenic East Coast Road to Mahabalipuram. En route, visit Dakshina Chitra, a cultural heritage village. At Mahabalipuram, explore the Shore Temple, Arjuna’s Penance, Pancha Rathas, and Krishna’s Butter Ball. Enjoy the beach and settle in for the night. Overnight stay in Mahabalipuram.
Day 3: Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry (100 km / 2.5 hrs)
After breakfast, head to Pondicherry. On arrival, explore the charming French Quarter, visit Aurobindo Ashram, Manakula Vinayagar Temple, and the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In the evening, stroll along Promenade Beach. Overnight stay in Pondicherry.
Day 4: Pondicherry – Velankanni (160 km / 4 hrs)
Depart after breakfast for Velankanni. Upon arrival, visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health, a major Catholic pilgrimage site. Enjoy a peaceful evening by the church or beach. Overnight stay in Velankanni.
Day 5: Velankanni – Tanjore – Trichy (170 km / 4.5 hrs)
Drive to Tanjore in the morning and visit the magnificent Brihadeeswarar Temple. Then continue to Trichy, visiting Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangam and Uchipillayar Temple (Rockfort). Overnight stay in Trichy.
Day 6: Trichy – Madurai (140 km / 3.5 hrs)
After breakfast, travel to Madurai. Visit the grand Meenakshi Amman Temple, Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace, and if time permits, Gandhi Museum. Overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 7: Madurai – Rameswaram (170 km / 4 hrs)
Drive to Rameswaram, one of the holiest places in South India. Visit Ramanathaswamy Temple, walk across Agni Theertham, and explore Dhanushkodi. Overnight stay in Rameswaram.
Day 8: Rameswaram – Kanyakumari (310 km / 6.5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari at the southernmost tip of India. In the evening, visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thiruvalluvar Statue, and watch the sunset over the ocean. Overnight stay in Kanyakumari.
Day 9: Kanyakumari – Madurai (245 km / 5.5 hrs)
Witness the sunrise at Kanyakumari, then drive back to Madurai for a relaxed evening or shopping at local markets. Overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 10: Madurai to Chennai (460 km / 8 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Madurai and begin your road journey to Chennai, covering approximately 460 km in about 8 hours. Drive through the NH38 highway, passing by key towns like Trichy and Villupuram. Optionally, you may stop en route for lunch or brief sightseeing at places like Samayapuram Temple or Gingee Fort. Arrive in Chennai by evening and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 11: Chennai Leisure / Optional Sightseeing
Enjoy a free day in Chennai for shopping, local street food, or optional visits to places like Vandalur Zoo, Cholamandal Artists' Village, or Phoenix Mall. Overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 12: Departure from Chennai Airport
After breakfast or based on flight timing, check out and transfer to Chennai Airport for departure. Tour ends.
